亲爱的同道们：
我非常高兴地在北京欢迎您——在这里，您将参加由中国药理学会(CNPHARS
)和国际药理学联合会（IUPHAR）共同主办的“第十五届世界药理学大会”。这
次大会将从2006年7月2日开始，到7月7日结束。我们特别欢迎国际药理学联合会
会员国的代表们，并正式代表他们感谢大会科学地组织了令人兴奋的特邀报告、
学术研讨会和专题会议。我们还高兴地看到，来自全世界的药理学家提交了大量
的论文摘要，这些论文摘要组成了规模宏大的墙报展览。另外，大会还特别组织
了富有生机的青年药理学研究人员参会。特别需要说的是，中国的北京，为我们
这次会议提供了特别美好的环境和文化。我相信，所有这些将使第十五届世界药
理学大会成为令我们难忘的重要事件。

A Word of Welcome from the IUPHAR President
Dear Colleagues,
I am delighted to welcome you in Beijing where you will attend and
participate in the15th World Congress of Pharmacology that from July 2nd
to 7th,2006.This World Congress is organized by the Chinese Pharmacologi-
cal Society and the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology
(IUPHAR).Thanks to the input of the member societies of IUPHAR,represented
here officially by the delegates to the General Assembly whom we welcome
in particular,the Program Committee has been able to put together a scien-
tifically most exciting program of invited lectures,symposia and workshops.
We also are pleased that a large number of volunteer abstracts have been
submitted,which will provide a number of lively poster sessions.In addition,
special events have been planned to recognize the most promising young inv-
estigators in Pharmacology.No need to say that China,ingeneral,and Beijing,
in particular are offering an extraordinary access to culture and beauty.
I am certain that all of tha twill make of this 15thWorld Congress of Phar-
macology a nunforgettable event!
